lyrics
hope is a lucky charm all shitty and plastic
but if you can believe that it's gold then have at it
you want to punch your head for being so angry
but then if silence comes you're so un-fucking-happy
if you and me could find your heart
and it's still beating, still beating
we'll take it and rip it apart
for your healing, good reason
health is the drugs you take in careful progression
the highs you need to fake
thoughts in metered succession
you're told you're fucking up but don't you ever fucking listen
what else is there to do
when we're already in prison

Find a quiet spot, sit down, put on the headphones, and don't do anything else but listen to this album. Symptoms will include shivers, a rush of intense emotions, and the desire to see Kathryn Joseph live. No, YOU'RE weeping into your coffee, transfixed by this beautiful, heartrending music. Thoughtful electronic pop songs interwoven with her tender vocals and nostalgic tinged song writing. Marnie's 2nd solo album never lets your ears down. electronic_dave

On the long-awaited follow-up to “Blackheart," D∆WN (aka Dawn Richard) continues refracting R&B through her own kaleidoscopic sensibility. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 8, 2016
A group that I know only too well, I’ve been with them for nearly 30 years; from their Glaswegian basement origins to their current status as Arena band. My enthusiasm for their later output may have tempered somewhat as the mighty ‘Gwai evolved their sound to avoid pigeonholing, but there is nothing better than when they lay waste to a venue via the sheer euphoria of ‘Helicon 1’. They’re still devastating live and, after all those years, THE authority in Instrumental Rock music. Logen Ninefingers
